What are the main points of black history?

The point of black leadership is that you have to have a view of what you are doing. You have to have a good plan of how you are going to change things. You have to have a good education. You also have to motivate people to get them to do something. You have to help people. You have to know what you want to do. If you go to a function, your speech has to have an effect on people to show them the possibilities of what can happen in the future. This is what we think the main part of leadership…See More

Black on Black Crime

One of the main causes of black on black crime is poverty. Joblessness causes us to do things that we wouldn't usually do. Leaders in the community should create more jobs so we don't have to do those drastic things. One way to combat this is to gather opinions from the public and hold meetings so that the perspective of others can be expressed. Gathering these opinions would allow us to diminish the amount of crime in impoverished areasWhat can be done to raise funds to support our officers…See More

Shutting down schools

Closing public schools is a very controversial issue. They are shutting down too many high schools so when middle schoolers are ready to begin their high school career, many problems could occur. Many of the high schools are closing. Since kids are getting bad grades schools are being shut down because they think there not teaching the kids, and there is a lack of funding. Too many kids are not showing up for school so the board of education will notice and think that the school doesn’t show…See More

Health Care reform

Anthony, Johannah, Romel, D' Angelo, Raekwon and Simone wrote:Health Care is one of the important issues in 2010. Too many people are dying because they don’t have the right tools to keep living. Ill people cannot get into hospitals because they can’t afford Health Care and they can’t afford medications. Health care and medications are very expensive right now. Also, people can’t even afford to go to the doctor. In 2005, personal health care expenditures were paid by private health insurance…See More

Issues In The U.S. Today...The Current Bad Economy, Lack of Jobs and Debt

Ashanti, Ralpheal, Kenneth, Desiree, Christian, and Julia think that some of the most prevalent issues facing our country today are unemployment, debt and a bad economy. The government should support families in the U.S. Too many jobs are being removed. People need these jobs to support themselves and their families. People need their jobs to take care of their houses and kids so they won’t become homeless. Many people are in debt and can’t shop for the things they need or want. People in debt…See More

Being a little over half way through this course, I have learned that there are many different types of leaders. A leader does not have to be someone in charge of a lot of people, or with a lot of power. A leader can be a personal leader, meaning…

Hmmm.....What is a leader? Through m eyes a leader is someone who not only has charisma but is passionate about what they do. I believe that a leader doesn't neccesasarily command the people but guides the people instead. By guiding the people…
